Four motorists charged with driving under the influence of alcohol are expected to appear in the Siparia Magistrate’s Court today. The four were arrested during police road traffic exercises in Siparia and Penal, that began at 6 pm on Friday and ended Saturday afternoon. The exercise was supervised by Inspector De Boulet, acting Inspector Seecharan and acting Sergeant Ramsundar, accompanied by officers from the Siparia and Penal police stations..
A total of thirty-four traffic tickets were also issued for various violations which included loud music, failure to wear seatbelts, unauthorised lights and defective tyres.
